It’s around that time of the year when people begin to tweet things like “I haven’t bathed since last year!”
It’s about that time when the millions of twitter users begin sharing 140 characters of empty promises for the new year that nobody is buying!
It’s New Years Eve and this year I’ve had a more realistic and grounded approach to life and future planning, and have accepted the consequences of overworking myself because I’ve set standards that are impossible to achieve in the space of time I give myself!
It’s hilarious but it’s endearing looking back because I can see how much faith I had in myself and my future, but maturity comes with knowledge and the application of wisdom.
I find that the most comforting and convenient learning method for me is through the Arts and literature.
So I’ve invested in 4 books that I’ll be taking into the New Year with me for a slow cooked, balanced and well seasoned approach to personality, character, temperament and career development and evolution.
Take a look at the list below:
“In this soft word for the sensitive ear, there is deep cleansing for those inaccessible areas of the feminine heart. This book will fight back the infections of life. Woman, Thou Art Loosed! will break the bands off the neck of every woman who dares to read it!”
“You can hold your head up high and be filled with confidence about yourself and your future. You can be bold and step out to do new things, even things no man or woman has ever done before. You have what it takes!” –Joyce
“PURPOSE AWAKENING will also give you a relatable and practical guide that will instill confidence, peace, and fulfillment by demystifying the journey to purpose, and enabling you to discover your own unique awakening. Being more than just a “feel good book,” PURPOSE AWAKENING provides true direction and gives parameters that guide the purpose-seeker. It will set you on a life-changing course to discovering the good idea concerning your life and the joys of seeing it fulfilled.“
“The world’s top advertising guru, Paul Arden, offers up his wisdom on issues as diverse as problem solving, responding to a brief, communicating, playing your cards right, making mistakes, and creativity – all endeavours that can be applied to aspects of modern life.”
